SKY'S THE LIMIT!
I'm pretty much up for anything you can imagine! As you'll notice in the picture to the left, even the old Family Arabian Stallion can be made into a festive holiday gift or decoration.
I've done everything from an entire meadow scene on the sides of an ISH and a Marabella (1st and 2nd place their first show!) to creating a forked tail on a saddlebred and painting him glossy ruby red!

Halloween Horses 2023!
Snowman to black skeleton
Classic Foal to skeleton
Classic QH to embellished skeleton
New traditional Morgan to super fancy skeleton
CM traditional Wyatt to fancy skeleton
One word: Pegadonkecorn! 2/23
It all happened because my buddy had some wings break off a garden fairy. I had 2 Sicilian donkeys to "play" with and one of them, for sure, wanted wings!
This is the result: Rainbow Appaloosa Pegadonkecorn! I love the way she came out and I plan on adding her as the 4th custom donkey in my collection! |

"Buddy the Elf" CM donkey March (yes, I did a custom Christmas donkey in March 2020) Purists will notice that I skipped his shoes- they didn't seem practical for a donkey and he still needs the red feather in his cap, too. He is for my personal collection and will not be for sale in the foreseeable future. . .

These two were painted specially for a buyer who never actually committed to purchase them and then disappeared, not answering multiple e-mails for 3 weeks, so they were listed on eBay.
At that point, the "buyer" reappeared furious that I was selling "her horses" on eBay and that she would have to bid on them instead of purchasing them outright (they were both listed with Buy It Now options.) This is just another example of why I feel that communication is key to a successful transaction. If you are interested in making a purchase, say so and then actually follow through. Artists are not mind readers and will not chase people down to make a sale. |
Happy Easter 2019!
St. Patrick's Day 2019
The Valentine's Day Crew 2019:
My daughter was done playing with *some* of her classic models and wanted me to paint them . . . so naturally I obliged! The classic scampering foal was part of a lot I recently purchased and he was just itching to have a fun pattern painted on him!

Schleich model painted just for the heck of it in General Motors le mans blue metallic! My husband and a buddy were spraying the project truck in the garage so I handed this guy over for a new look . . . gotta change his eyes though! He looks cooler with socks, I think. He also got new eyes on his big blaze face.
Love-ly Indian Pony Mare decked out for Valentine's Day 2017!

Halloween Horse #1 2016! CM Big Ben to a bony black tobiano paint horse
Completed during the Blizzard of 2016 is this resin, Sylph. The white snowflakes were falling outside while the black spots were going down inside . . . He's now a black leopard appaloosa patterned pegasus with wings modeled after the Hamburg breed of chicken! He was an absolute blast to paint (which made up for the nightmare he was to prep!)
Winged Wonder will be flying to his new home with Valerie very soon!

OK so I guess Rosie isn't technically a Fantasy horse but I think this will also be the page where I throw in any "flowered" horses that I complete! Rosie went to her new PA home in August '15. She was my take on that beak nosed Shetland with a newer nose, mane, tail and roses!
Another one of my all time favorite customs completed in 2014. This handsome gypsy vanner was painted as the bulbs sprouted and bloomed in my yard. He's got Prince Albert Daffodils, Parrot Tulips, Grape Hyacinth, Cherry Blossoms, White dogwood, lily of the valley, crocus and snowdrops flowers along his sides and belly. He's got so much going on that it's hard to see it all in one picture!
"Springsong" my personal collection's toned down version of the Gypsy Vanner I did last year. He was originally a Mariah's Boon before he was painted with a variety of spring flowers that include: 3 types of daffodils, dogwoods, magnolias, witch hazels, hyacinths, tulips, crocus and I think some flowering cherries, too. He did well his first time out taking 1st in his fantasy class!
Now that's what I call a Winter Song!
