Keep scrolling down! There's no telling what you'll find!
I get bored VERY quickly and I am always coming up with more stuff to do either with model horses, real horses or completely not horse related things! These are a few of MY favorites:

The Gnomes:
It's what I've all the sudden started to do with my leftover epoxy this year. It started with just a few, here and there, make an extra ball for a nose, maybe a heart for the next one to hold but then they started getting elaborate- one's hula hooping, one's got a lap loom, another one has candy canes, one's drinking! Here are a few that I happen to have pictures of on the camera:
Saddle Stands
This one was created for a dear friend and tack maker, Yvonda Robinett. The saddle on the right has been created by her as well and is part of my collection.
Model Horse Tack
Tack is an area I only admit to dabbling in. There are so many wonderful tackmakers out there to learn from and I enjoy doing just that! On the left you'll see a saddle set created by me. The cinch and breastcollar are by Lydia Ernst, everything else is "homemade" at Ridge Farms. The halter on the right is a simple white draft halter. Below you'll find a circus costume created especially for my bowing vanner.

Cross Stitched Saddle Pads
Something else I'd dabbling in these days . . . cross stitching saddle pads. I worked on them mostly while my daughter is at dance class. So far, none of these are for sale, the quality is just not there yet. However, I'm awfully proud of what I've accomplished so far and how the stitch work has improved! In other words, they're sucking less and less every time!
Completely Random Creations
I get bored and I do stuff. I get asked for a favor and I do stuff. I get roped into obscure projects and . . . I do stuff! Here is the spot for everything that's not even a little bit model horse related.

Crocheted Stuff
So here is 2018 first epic project: Mandala Madness (pattern from Crystals and Crochet website) I know the pictures don't reflect it but I swear it's actually getting bigger!
The in progress photo of my "Farm Animals and Flowers" afghan. It all started with the brown cow on the left. I got the pattern from Nellie's Cottage- google her site if you want anything for crocheting- it's great!
After I did the first cow from the pattern, I scaled it down for the grey one and tweaked it a bunch to make the pig and the horse! This was my after dark project from March 'til August of 2020 (Pandemic Crochet?!)
Custom Beaded Brow Bands
(for real horses and ponies)
Saw some really pretty beaded brow bands online near the end of summer '19 and I decided that I wanted one . . . Then, I bought 5 empty channel brow bands off eBay. So now I have 5!
I'm more than happy to make these for someone else, too! It is an absolute blast to experiment with different brow band shapes and a variety of beads. All the sudden I have to watch JoAnn's for coupons on the regular! There are more of these to come for sure! |
Painted Medallions
Other Fun Randomness . . .
Did this fun little lobster painting on canvas when my daughter was given an artist to study during the "virtual learning" at the end of this school year. It was fun to just grab a canvas and mess around for once!
He's headed to the Cape house for hanging because he belongs either there or in Maine for sure! |
