While my husband pounds away on the front of the house again this weekend I'm wrapping up some final preparations for Poncono Ponies Live. The Donation model is complete and I've just done the finishing touches on this Totillas model I've been working on for a month now. I CM'd his mane and tail with Baroque style ribbons that just begged to be painted deep blue (I don't know why, they just asked for it!)

Show Update!
In other news, I've been packing little by little for Pocono Ponies Live on May 2nd. Containers and packing materials came out earlier than I have planned due to new siding going up on the front of the house. Being that the model shelves and all that hammering share a common wall, my husband suggested I clear the shelves. It's been a great Spring Break so far and I've been pretty productive! Here are three models I've completed and listed for sale on MH$P's this afternoon. The first is "Seven Layer Dip" and is a custom Bouncer pony completed using pastels, acrylics and pencils. He needs to get out and be shown and heck knows that won't happen with me! The second horse was a long time coming and only the third Alborozo I've had the opportunity to complete. I take painting them as seriously as a resin because they're so "rare" these days. This guy is an eye popping black tobiano paint horse with my most favorite blue eye EVER (well, since that sabino Cleveland Bay anyway!) He's packed with details now if only I could pin down an appropriate breed to show him as . . .
After 3 different Easter Egg hunts, 2 meals out and 3 baskets of pure sugar I actually had a few minutes of quiet time to finish up a model for a friend of mine. Meet Rebecca's Flashin' My Splash! Of course I love him because he's an Adios! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Be sure to check my eBay auctions as I've moved a few horses from MH$P over there to clear off some shelf space. Here's the latest herd of silver, gold and bronze models just finished for Kenzy and TerriAnn. They're flashy! I can't tell which one is my favorite yet but it's between the silver Picasso and the bronze Champagne Toast. I'm working tonight in the studio on a Bouncer mold that will, no doubt turn out to be an appaloosa. I've also started an Adios for a friend that's going to be a black splash paint. The horse I'm most excited about it the Alborozo I finally put color on this afternoon (Well, that is, if you consider black a color!) My plan is that he'll turn out to be a blue roan tobiano pintaloosa stallion. A recent customer turned me on to a breed registry that totally justifies and registers that color pattern! I've also got a custom cleveland bay in the works. I tweeked his legs to make him into a more "floaty" trot and then I added a big, flowy mane and forelock. I made sure to leave room for a English bridle beneath his new head of hair so he'll still be performance friendly! Anyone have an English saddle set they want to trade for? :0) Happy Easter everyone! Here's "Peter" the leopard appaloosa . . . via bunny tracks! He's still available and looking to HOP on to a new home for the spring show season!
