As for studio work, this was the first day I got to chip away at some stuff that's been hanging around for awhile. I'm almost done with touch ups on the pretty Arabian mare in the picture and there could be time tomorrow to start on the cutting horse. I finished and listed the rearing SM. He's on MH$P right now as a matter of fact!
Out in the backyard stable we now have just pair of grey mares. Eugene moved to his new home in New York this morning and he seemed happy to go. He loaded right up on the unfamiliar trailer and snacked on hay the whole ride. I would've kept him here but he was just not getting along well with the big mare. Their relationship was always shaky but lately he has been chasing her around the turnout BACKWARDS while double barrel kicking at her. Totally not OK. He was fine with Guiny, and it didn't seem to be food related either but it was to the point where only he or the big mare could be out at a time. It was not only a real pain in the butt, it was also not fair to either of them.
So, I found a place about an hour and a half away (would've liked something closer so we could visit) and we brought him up there this morning. I can't wait to here how he does in his new home where he will have a job and tiny riders! He's a good little guy and I know he'll do better with a new herd and a daily purpose! Today was bittersweet still.
