In the meantime I'll leave you with these riveting phones of my noble and majestic horse! Let these stand as proof that she was clean at one point in time!
This guy is fresh out of the studio on this super rainy Tuesday night! He was a bay stock horse stallion who's got a whole new look now! I liked him OF and I liked him as a simple appy CM but I REALLY like him now! He'll be headed over to eBay by the weekend so if you're interested snatch him up before then! Email me and make and offer and he could be yours! In the meantime I'll leave you with these riveting phones of my noble and majestic horse! Let these stand as proof that she was clean at one point in time! Have a great rest of the week everyone!

This interesting fellow has just been listed to eBay. Here's his auction link in case you'd like to see more pictures: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333732488424 We did it! We finally hiked to Pennsylvania on the Appalachian Trail! Sunday morning we headed out about 7AM, grabbed breakfast and lunch for the road and drove out to the Mohican Nature Center. We hiked about 10 miles in the woods and close to another one on River Road along the Delaware River 'til we reached the bridge between New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We were picked up by my hubby in the chase truck then we headed to the Walpack Inn for an outdoor dinner and drinks. Mine's the one in the hot cup- it was a Raspberry Forest something amazing . . . don't even know what was in it but we took a picture of the menu because, whatever was in that $12.00 drink, I love it and hope my husband can replicate it at home! Along the hike we ran into a pair of guys counting migrating birds of prey along one of the mountaintops. I was able to show him the picture of the hawk that was tormenting the chickens the other day and he said it was a Red Shouldered Hawk. This heart rock sums up the weekend well! I would've carried it home but we were in Worthington State Forest and we're not supposed to take stuff out of the park . . . besides, it was pretty big.
Hope everyone's having a great week! More model pictures to come soon as I've been chipping away at stuff little by little in the evenings. This lady waited quite awhile for her color but now that it's done I really like her! She got a new mane and tail as part of her overhaul. Painted a shaded bay tobiano, she's looking for a great fall home and is currently listed on eBay. Just a quick picture of my night mare after I finished walking her for another 10 minutes tonight. I'm trying to keep the swelling down in her leg so I wrapped it and left it alone. See what it looks like in the morning!
Here's the latest Halloween offering on the Sherman Morgan mold. He's got a spooky skeleton all over him and he's ready to haunt your house! He's just been listed to eBay under my long time usename: cruise1990 All the sudden Blossom, my red chicken, was screaming her fool head off. When I turned away from my class I immediately saw why- this guy! He was eyeing the girls up from the fence alongside the coop. He got a little bold and landed right on the side rail of the run next and he continued to taunt them as I watched. That's when I decided to have a word with him but he decided he didn't want to talk to me and flew off. Today I head to Home Depot to purchase some plywood and 2 X 4's so that we can seal the opening between the two stalls. Why you might ask: This is why- long story made short- in her attempt to retaliate against the pony's snottiness, she nearly scaled the divider wall! Jumper she is NOT and her front right got hung up and scrapped up. I cold hosed it last night and wrapped it today. She seems fine and there's only minimal swelling but she's a little stiff. Crazy horses!
This guy's auction is set to end within a day or so on eBay. I've already got another Halloween design in mind on the old Sherman Morgan mold and I'm hoping to start on that tonight! These two stablemates were finished up the other day and have been listed to the sales pages. I LOVE the little Gypsy Vanner mold- especially the way I'm able to dial him in to stand on his hind legs, too! The pony got a good workout the other day. My plan was to catch her and lunge her for about 10 minutes walk/trot. Her plan was to NOT be caught and run in circles and zig zags for 5 minutes instead. . . tomAto/tomato . . . she got exercise either way! I swear that Nighthawk watched the whole time and then calmly walked over to me so she could be hooked to the lunge line. She would NOT be participating in that running around craziness! Today after virtual school was over I hitched up the trailer and brought it around by the hydrant to give it a good scrubbing. It has lichen on a few spots! Proof that we haven't trailed ANYWHERE in a couple of months. I'm hoping to get out a few times in October since the big mare's in good shape and the weather will be cooling down, too. To everyone doing online school- be strong, be creative, be a good listener, be flexible, be nice to yourself AND the teachers. We'll get through this!
Hump Day tomorrow! Sam is a very helpful boy! He has quickly become the official "Class Dog" of 5W since he spends most of the day sitting on the bench behind me. Good boy, Sam. I've also managed to somehow complete a cute little model that's ready for a new home! This grazing foal got some minor reworking so that his head was higher and he could be sniffing stuff instead of eating so close to the ground. He'll go to his new home with a variety of holiday things to sniff! Tonight I plan to work on a few little SM's and have them ready to go for this weekend! Keep an eye out!
Hope it's not too early in the season for anybody because these two have been listed to eBay! I'm starting to tap into that collections of vintage models that I acquired at the estate sale a few weekends ago. They're super fun to "play" with like this! This is what our first day of school looked this for 2020-2021! We're teaching and learning virtually and I'm doing it from home since the wifi is MUCH better here. Many of my coworkers discovered glitches and holes in the coverage at school the first few days. I've got a nice camera on my home computer, too, much better than the Chrome book I'd have at school. And, how could I turn down the opportunity to move and stack firewood on my lunch break? We needed to get out after the first 2 days of school so my buddy and I hit the AT again! We figure we did about 8 miles this time and there's only 11 or 12 left 'til we get to the Pennsylvania line and have done with all of New Jersey! Very pretty day overall and a lovely hike. I can't wait to pick a day to do the last leg and go out to eat at the Wallpack Inn for dinner afterwards!
Tomorrow we head to a western horse clinic with a couple of buddies! Monday morning found us up early to arrive at the Sussex County Sunflower Maze right when it opened. This is their 10 year anniversary! We've been there every year since they opened and this year it did not disappoint! Of course since I had entered the Pandemic Performance Panorama I HAD to bring along a horse or two: But, mostly, we had the whole place to ourselves to enjoy the beautiful flowers! We took a walk to another local attraction, Buttermilk Falls. The gate was shut at the end of the road so it was about an hour walk in down the dirt road. Had to drag a few models along on that journey, too. It was a great way to wrap up our summer vacation, especially when the first place we found to get lunch was Dairy Queen!
Tomorrow starts the first day of "Virtual Learning" for my daughter and "Virtual Teaching" for me. I excited to get started and I'm happy to be able to work from home where I have a better computer camera, larger screen (darn these old eyes!) and much better internet. Also it's nice to be able to still throw the ball for Nora and run the horses out a carrot at lunch time! Happy Back To School for anyone that's going/staying . . . whatever!! |
I'd like to leave this world just a little bit more beautiful than I found it... Archives
