This painting occurred in between puppy play time, of course! My daughter and I were driving home the other day and found an rogue painted turtle crossing the street which is usually a spring occurrence! Naturally, I pulled over and plucked this guy out of rush hour traffic and brought him home to the swamp behind the house. He crawled off as soon as we put him down back there probably because Xander wanted to see "how da puppy would wike him" and the puppy was on her way to liking him too much! It was a perfect week for Brenna's ears to finally stand up on their own!
The Tobianos attacked this weekend as every horse I looked at that was prepped and ready to go (three total) turned into black tobiano paints! I've finished up this Morgan stallion (formerly Chili), a Big Ben and a classic Shire B is nearly done. I just love the sharp contrast with these dark tobianos and I hadn't done too many of them lately so I decided to go back.
