Another week, another list of things to do around the farm . . . last weekend we had 5 trees taken down that must've died over the winter (not getting leaves was our first indication they were no longer alive!) We had our buddy take down 2 red oaks, a few ash and ONE HUGE WHITE OAK. That's what we'll be taking care of (splitting, stacking, moving to friends' houses) this weekend. In the meantime, I've finished one little chips model, I'm still wrapping up a bay overo Lady Phase and I hope to finish and ship Emily's bucking mare, too.

Hey! This big, handsome guy is being listed on MH$P tonight due to my insane Wintersong conga taking up just a little too much space on the shelves! He was etched from Mariah's Boon Breyerfest SR to a pretty bay roan paint. Check out the detailing in the etch work . . . he took For-EVER but the results were worth it! Pocono Ponies Live! was a great time last weekend! After figuring out exactly how to pronounce the city (of 5000) that we were visiting: Aquashicola (turns out it's pretty much phonetically pronounced ) the herd had a pretty successful day. The model above placed 3rd in a large CM/Resin Warmblood class which made me smile. I got a fourth in Other Performance with my Sugarbush Drafter, Bartholomew doing Draft Horse Barrel Racing. A CM Wintersong painted as a spring scene took 1st and NAN'd in his CM Decorator class. My OF horses did pretty well, too, with Limerick taking 4th despite me forgetting him on the OF table for over and hour! Spring green ribbons were all the rage at my table as I took quite a few sixth's as well! When we got home I decided I didn't show nearly often enough to justify keeping so many horses (besides I'm getting low on space, too) so I'm working on somewhat of a sell off: Besides the Cleveland Bay at the top who's still looking for a new home, the following are at their new homes already: Midnight clear is going to live with Emily Gracie found a new home where she'll, hopefully, get to show off a little more! |
I'd like to leave this world just a little bit more beautiful than I found it... Archives
