Finally! The Dozer resin has color and he's looking for a great new home! He's a fully mapped black tobiano American Spotted Draft Horse who's ready to show or just hang out on the shelves of your stable . . . or my stable, either way! I finally decided to put paint on him after staring at him blank and then primed for so long. Why do I fight these things? I should just know to paint them some version of black and white and I'll love it in the end. This guy came out especially adorable!
Tonight I'm working on a simple custom on the clydesdale foal. She's a blue roan with a few random roses at the base of her tail. She's not a show horse but would look super cute hanging around your barn. I'm sure to create her "mother" shortly, too, because my new plan for the older molds is to just have fun and experiment with them. Prepping them is just way too much work so they'll be simple customs instead of the full on, prepped and fancy show pieces. They'll be cheaper, too! Pictures soon of the Clydesdale foal! She'll probably be listed on MH$P tonight! Pocono Ponies Live! is only two weeks away and, with my daughter's birthday coming up next weekend, I decided to pack this Saturday to get it over with! https://www.facebook.com/poconoponieslive/ Well, what a process THAT was! You'd think bringing less than 30 models would be a simple task but I found a way to make that not be the case. They all managed to fit into two reasonably sized Sterile containers so now there's just a few sale horses left to pack up right before the show if they don't sell. Here's one of them Who's that? He's the Wintersong that's been sitting on my shelves waiting for color for a few months now! Simple silhouette with the dappled black but I added the sabino markings for interest! He's on MH$P now looking for a great new home! I've also added a few more: Glossy Fall Wintersong Random bag o manes and tails OF Palouse w/bosal by Alysia Teller/Don Dennison Etched Palomino Roxy Pintaloosa Zippo Pine Bar w/ new mane Check them out and feel free to make and offer because I fell in LOVE with a Stone ISH and need some funds! The Dozer resin is also getting some color. He's going to be an American Spotted Draft foal and I plan to show him in two weeks (ha! I'm so funny!) He's almost done in a super cool black tobiano paint job. Either way, he'll be looking for a new home either before or after the show as I'm going to try to not hang onto too many resin models. They're just not safe here! In other news, it's totally spring here! Yay!
Reality has set in and we are officially back from vacation! Disney was amazing and we had a blast meeting princesses, riding the rides and just wandering around. There were fireworks that we could see from right outside our hotel room EVERY NIGHT, too! Super handsome Disney horses at the Magic Kingdom on Monday evening. There were 6 people dancing and singing all around them but this was their stance for more than 10 minutes. Could not get a shot without an employee because there was one standing at each corner of the wagon and one in front. Here we are at Epcot. Everyone was getting their picture taken with the giant sphere behind them but, with these pretty sunflowers right behind us, we skipped the sphere shot in favor of them! There is a flower and garden festival going on so it was the perfect time to visit!
And one more reason to get the heck out of New Jersey and head south! Snow, like this, in April?! I'm a snow lover and still I say, "Ugh!" I got a load of hay for Cruise and Guin this morning, luckily beating this little squall back to the barn!
Once it started, we all retreated inside and I was able to finish up two long time studio residents. Here is an etched Roxy model and a CM Zippo as a jogging pintaloosa. Both are online at MH$P right now! Check them out! This is it . . . the final few days before we leave for
DISNEY WORLD! We're leaving at the butt crack of dawn on Monday morning and flying to Orlando. I will obviously not be available to answer e-mails or return messages but I'll get back in touch promptly upon our return. I have high hopes of listing that CM Zippo sometime the week that I get back so that he can find a great new show home in time for the spring shows. We'll see how that goes- he's a fairly detailed pintaloosa but he's coming along nicely. Everyone have a wonderful week! Well, fell asleep last night to thunder and lightning (no rain) and woke up this morning to two inches of snow on the ground. . . and on the daffodils . . . and the tulips . . . and the hyacinths. . . and my porch . . . and the fences . . . you get the idea . . . NOT COOL MOTHER NATURE. NOT COOL! Is this a late April Fool's Joke?! Nope, just spring snow. Welcome to New Jersey! On the bright side, it was so windy and nasty today that I stayed in pretty much all day and got some repairs done and probably wrapping up a Zippo Pine Bar CM'd as a pintaloosa sometime this afternoon. He'll be listed this week for sure! We're also counting down . . . 8 days 'til Disney (and my complete absence from the online community for 5-7 days!) Back to work in the studio as the horses take shelter in the barn and continue to munch all day!
Check out the few new horses listed to MH$P last night and watch for the Zippo if you're a fan of that mold, too! He's be remade to a joggin stance with a new, longer mane. |
I'd like to leave this world just a little bit more beautiful than I found it... Archives
