Check back later in the week as I hope to have my Copperfox Pony done (or at least done-enough for pictures!)
I just finished my 4th- yup, that' right 4th- Halloween horse of the year! Presenting the webby Hackney! He's on eBay right now and is much cooler looking in person (the camera hides the fine details of his webbing) The 3rd Halloween horse was this cute little Stormy foal. He's on eBay right now, too, with a wicked good starting price I might add! Here's the second Halloween horse (also listed on eBay) He's the semi Rearing mustang with an added ghost blanket and ghosty markings on his face, too. Not sure how many more Halloween equines I'm going to have time to come up with this year but they sure are fun! I actually am thinking of doing an pencil webbed Wintersong for myself- would that be cool or what?!

It all started last Saturday when we went down to Raceway Park, near Englishtown, NJ for Diesel Truckin' Nationals. . . We'd never been before, having usually gone to the Line Mt. 7 Miler Off road race that weekend. None of our buddies were racing this year so we decided to check out the Diesel Nationals instead. There was all sorts of diesel truck eye candy and the world's fastest Backhoe. They were drag racing just about everything, including dump trucks and semi's. For awhile it was kind of like sitting on the side of a highway watching a traffic light turn green. A lot of them didn't go very fast, running well over 20 second quarter miles. They sure were nice to look at though! Lots of chrome, stacks, lights, tread plate, shiny wheels, bright colors- pretty much all that's good and right in the world! I snapped a few shots and took a quick video of this guy running because it's pretty much meant to be MY truck, since it's got an "S" on it and all! Turns out this thing could just about FLY! It took off and ran something like a 16 or 17 second quarter mile- pretty impressive! I spent the week patiently waiting for a few exciting packages to arrive. Here's the parade set by Yvonda Robinett complete with it's gorgeous new corona pad from Melody Snow! I still look at it in a state of disbelief . . . is this really mine? The corona pad is a perfect fit (my tacking up skills are not perfect!) I'm very excited at the prospect of showing this set at some point because Yvonda's stuff is So Cool! This afternoon, my second fun package arrived. This one was from Bobbie Allen (Horse Tender) . It came aaaaaaaaaaaall the way from Japan. I had been eyeballing this saddle pad a month or so ago before it was listed on her etsy page. I looks great on my Palouse since the dark zig zags on the saddle pad match the similar ones on my Alysia Teller bridle (almost like I planned it that way!) Thanks for checking in! Hopefully I'll have some updated studio pictures after this weekend!
P.S. Don't forget to check out the Copperfox CM contest. I've entered my black leopard appy Connemara pony- go check her out! Hayley's blue roan Stone performance horse did well at the Leesport Model Horse show! He earned his spot on the Winner's Page by being shown to a Western Division Champion AND a Reserve Grand Champion victory!
Well done! Proud of my self tonight. Not only is the Copperfox Connemara done but I even came home and took pictures tonight after the firehouse! She's just been listed to MH$P but I'm secretly hoping she doesn't sell because I'd kind of like to show her myself- once I figure out a good breed! I also snapped some pics of the Clydesdale mare who's within a hour or so of being completed. Emily's got first dips on her but she'll be on sales pages if she's looking for a new home. We ended the weekend by being there to shut down the Sunflower maze (AKA one of my favorite places on Earth). The back field is still blooming and the flowers are huge! Many were over 14 feet tall and we were able to walk right up and down the rows of them. We followed up and awesome walk through the flowers with a wonderful dinner at the Walpack Inn. If you're ever in northwest New Jersey on the weekend you HAVE to go! Lots of comings and goings this week despite it being the first week back at work for me and my daughter's first week of Kindergarten! The tobiano Hackney and the bay Carrick (who is pictured above) found new homes this week along with a few OF models. Also, I did something that I've only done one other time . . . I bought back a model I sold. The roan Wintersong was a beast to customize, a pain in the butt to paint and I missed his class in the only show I ever brought him to but as soon as I sold him I kinda missed him. He should be back by the end of the week! A glossy Namid arrived here yesterday and, although she's got some minor flaws, I'm really tempted NOT to customizer her. There's just nothing like gloss on a dark horse to make the color POP! I also got a few more Marchador celebration models (Shout out to my pal Caitlin!) I can't wait to have time to customize them. Someone needs a longer, flowy mane and tail I think . . . In other news, I've got a Copperfox (yeah, that's right- my FIRST Copperfox Custom) that I'll be putting up early this week. She's the cantering pony in black leopard appaloosa and I've really pleased with the way she came out. I missed taking pictures of her in daylight today but I'm hopeful I'll be able to snap a few in between school and the firehouse tomorrow. I'm also just wrapping up a clydesdale mare in a deep, red bay with some crazy sabino markings. She may be already spoken for but I'll put up pictures anyway! After that I'm hoping to put the finishing touches on the Cleveland Bay Mare Pair for Yvonda's special project. Here's her business card . . . check her out! She's on Facebook, too! Here's hoping I have pictures for you tomorrow!
