I'm also working on a custom Smarty Jones with a short cut mane who is bound to be a maxed out frame overo paint horse. I can't wait to get some color on him tonight or tomorrow. Pictures to follow . . .
Today I did something crazy that I didn't think I'd be doing for awhile yet: I went horse shopping. The hubby and I drove out to PA (like 3.5 hours) and checked out a super pretty Shire/TB/Spotted Draft mare. She's just turning 7 years old and is untrained (well, she was trained for 90 days 2 years ago). She's a gorgeous girl that's just oozing personality
She's dappled grey tobiano which, to me, means that in a few years I would have a HUGE, solid gray version of the pony in my backyard if she were coming home with me. I've got more shopping to do, for sure, and my wonderful farrier and I are planning on taking a trip out to friends of his in the Lancaster area one of these days. I'm looking forward to that! In the meantime, I'll be playing around in the backyard, AKA Pony Paradise, with Gwen and Eugene. . . . and I may have dyed their manes and tails blue and red . . . |
