The pony is a champion and Nighthawk . . . well, she's getting the hang of it! I always seem to get a shot of whatever's been on her head flying though the air as she shakes it off- sometimes its my favorite shot! I hope to have more fun horsey or model photos to post in between now and then but Happy Easter Everyone! |
My daughter and I have these photo ops almost down to a science! Here are the Easter bunny ear shots from today:

Perhaps the tiniest model I've ever painted takes the #10 spot today. He's micro mini and probably only the second one I've ever done. I seem to be able to do one every few years because it takes me THAT long to remember how much they stink to paint! I do not have the eyes or the dexterity to deal with this little guys but boy are they cute when they're done!
After a long time on my studio desk- this guy is finally complete! He's been listed straight to eBay for a speedy, uncomplicated sale (HA!) If I was keeping track, which apparently I still am, he would be "Pandemic Pony #22." I sure home somebody with a show home can snatch him up and give him a proper name!
I've got nothing but time on my hands these days because I'm home when I'd usually be at the firehouse or food shopping or just shopping, or hiking or taking the horse somewhere, or driving the kid to karate. I've got extra hours to fill and I'm constantly striving to find ways to do that. Here'e what I came up with this week: Roses! Roses on foals, roses on mares, roses and ribbons on a draft butt- LOTS of roses! Can't wait to start painting some of these guys and gals. Only the foal and the Andalusian mare are close- the Halfinger mare and the shire are light years away!
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy weekend! Here's model #9- a cute and flashy traditional Andalusian foal! She's currently listed on eBay and looking for a great new spring home! Her mom will be following her shortly but there is some mane and tail work to do on her. I'm not out of epoxy yet so I'm going for it! LOL!
In other news, my husband keeps joking that it only took a global pandemic for me to start cooking! Since my daughter and I have been home I've made sausage and peppers, a ton of cookies, a meatloaf, multiple meat and cheese platters (yes, they count!) pumpkin bread and several other dishes. Perhaps the one I am most proud of is this: |
