I'm still hard at work doing some resculpting on a big Cleveland Bay, a Misty and a San Domingo who seems to have stalled out some. It's supposed to POUR tonight into tomorrow so I expect to get a lot of inside stuff done and hopefully be ready to get some of them primed for next weekend. Fingers crossed!
Yesterday we found ourselves at the Franklin Mineral Mines in Franklin, NJ collecting florescent rocks. It's a really neat place to visit and less than 1/2 hour away from home. Here are some of the rocks we found under the UV light:
So, after we were done gathering rocks and touring the museum we stopped at Franklin Chicken and Ribs- it's a great new local place and the guy smokes all his own stuff! We haven't tried anything from there that hasn't been fantastic. We grabbed a late lunch and packed up what would be an early dinner for the hubby and drove towards home with the most amazing smells wafting through the truck.
We swung into Equitique because girlie needed a new riding helmet. She finally out grew her first one and she's NOT riding without so this was a necessary stop for sure. She got a nice new helmet and then . . . it happened . . . the big purchase of the day . . .
Also, don't mind the girls' downtrodden expressions yesterday. They got spring shots the day before and we're feeling particularly perky. Nothing a little banamine couldn't kick though!
Easter photos to follow as I continue the "torture" with cookies as the chaser.
