Guin has lived with me since she was 4- so 18 years now. I can't believe it! She's gone from the pony I never wanted to one I wouldn't trade for the world. She was the best friend that Cruise could have even wished for . . .
She's put up with a big dominant gelding, a young snotty colt, a nasty old pony with lightning fast reflexes and now a 1400 pound baby. She's taken it all in stride, finding "her place" in the herd whether it was at the top or the bottom. My early photos of her actually pre date the digital camera! She's got several confirmed kills to her name: this rooster (RIP Charmin!) -2 raccoons -a fox -possibly a opossum, too But she was always buddies/partners in crime with Brenna. She's been a rotten little monster, a total love bug, a super smart conniving little wench, a life saver, a brilliant mad scientist, a confidant, an enemy, a teacher and student. |
She also may have had her mane and tail dyed red once . . . won't make that mistake again! My favorite horsey quote goes like this: "Nobody can look at a horse and tell you what he's worth. He's worth to you just how good he is to you, how well he suits you and how bad you want him." | Nothing ever seems to be the right height for her but that doesn't slow her down! And I could not even begin to count how many costume/headbands/strings of garland she's been subjected to wearing throughout the years! |
May we have many, many more to look forward to together!
