Anyway, I'm not sorry because they're totally awesome! I was bored tonight and everyone else in the whole house was asleep but I heard the horses moving around outside, and the rain had slowed down, so I headed out back. I grabbed these and the new USG fly bonnet I bought but didn't need.
Figured I'd do some grooming since it's been so nasty and hot lately. Big mare was the first to feel these and she made a zillion wacky faces: when I rubbed her forehead, poll, chest and she about lost her mind when I did her withers! She had her lipped flipped up and was rubbing her teeth on the corner of the stall door. Safe to say she LOVES these things!
Then it was on to Guinivere who is usually not a fan of being groomed and pampered. I pulled off her fly sheet and she actually leaned into me when I was rubbing her down- even when I was grooming her legs (that was a little weird) so I'm pretty sure she's a fan, too! Did I mention that she stopped eating and just stood there the whole time I was messing with her?
On the studio front:
Today we painted scallop shells on the back porch in all sorts of fun colors and I added some pencil roaning and hair by hair detail to Cat Creek Fleet Feet. He's going to be a tough one to send on his way when he's done!
Also, Lemme At Em is prepped and primed! I hope to get some painting done on her tomorrow!
Have a great night everyone!
