Spring has officially arrived! The crocus are blooming like they never got buried in 18 inches of snow! Even my little rescue pony, who we have since renamed Eugene, is enjoying the nice weather! We went over this afternoon and took him for a walk, groomed the heck out of him and snapped some pictures. He's shedding like crazy so I curried off what felt like 4 lbs of hair (but only from the places on him I actually CAN curry!) It wasn't until I looked back through my camera roll that I noticed how much better he looked today versus just a month ago. Studio news includes a "recycled" member of the herd. Tall, Dark and Handsome has been traded for and has now returned to the Ridge Farms show string and stable! Emily was kind enough to send him back with his 2 first place ribbons and NAN cards from his most recent show. He's going to be my new "Other Performance" horse . . . The rest of the afternoon will include doing some more hair by hair sabino work on him and further work on the Wyatt appaloosa I hope to have listed by the end of the week. A good wrap up for wonderful weekend that's leading into a crazy busy week. But after that- Spring Break!
