Not going to lie- June is shaping up to be not my favorite month. I just lost my dog. My beautiful, brilliant three legged dog. The worst part is that 3 vets don't know what happened. One day she was OK and the next her chest and abdomen were full of fluid and she could barely breath. The right call was obvious but heart wrenching. I'm missing her when I'm in the house, in the yard, leaving the house and coming home. Can't wait for the hurt to subside. I'm fortunate to have a wonderful family and a really great class of 6th graders this year though so that helps. Not to mention this big, dopey mare in the backyard: Also, it was Guinivere's 21st birthday on Sunday. She got crumb cake but only liked the crumb part. Note the cake left on the ground and spit out of the bowl! Between school trips, concerts and firehouse stuff, painting hasn't even been on my radar but I'm hoping to have some quiet time to reflect and regroup this weekend. There's still 3 horses in various states of "done ness" waiting to be finished. Fingers crossed the world stops spinning soon enough for brush to touch the plastic and my brain to rest.
