As my summer vacation winds down I decided to quite painting spots and just mess around and have some more fun! Enter the Halloween and silver charm horses! I know I totally must've acquired the idea for this pattern from somewhere but I can't remember where. I painted a few similar to this last year and now, with a plethora of classic bodies to CM, I decided to do a few more. This lady is already sold and will be glossed but I can pretty much replicate this pattern on any mold. Next I'm doing a similar one with pumpkins on the clydesdale stallion! I also are not yet over that silver charm fad that began at Breyerfest this year (mostly because I'm not yet out of silver spray paint!) Here are a few I completed for me and a friend. The Adios on the left is hers, as is the Stormy foal I created to match this years Misty SR. My Adios, The Silver Shepherd, is on the right. His mane and and tail started out BLACK-talk about a lot of stripping work! When I came time to do the second one I said I HAD to work on a Clayton or Mego because my hands just couldn't do that again! And then the other night I just went nuts! The real horses were fed, the kid was asleep and I just didn't want to paint another black, bay or buckskin leopard appy. So, I did the only reasonable thing and painted a blue one instead. She did come out pretty cool though!
