It poured off and on all day, sometimes so heavy that big mare turned sideways to fit completely under the SheShed. Once it stopped raining I went out there every other hour to brush and fluff them so that they would have a chance to dry out and wouldn't be soaked to the bone tonight. I got my fleece blanket and big mare's light winter blanket ready just in case but she was dry, fluffy and fine when I just was out there. It's now 28 degrees and still dropping so they're inside munching on more hay- a good Christmas for them!
We kept a low profile. having exactly 2 visitors today, which was actually really nice. It was just the hubby, the kid and the dogs and we were all messing with new stuff we got and organizing and cleaning just a little bit.
This is the newest addition to my model horse herd, Snow Angel:
I was also excited to be at the right place at the right time to snag a copy of the Breyer Stocking Stuffer model this morning. The Icelandic Pony is super cute. I had Elksa (or whatever her name was!) for awhile but ended up using her as a body model when she got a rub on her side. I'm crossing my fingers for anything BUT a red one. Red's my favorite color but not so much for model horses . . .
We're off 'til January 4th and I'm looking forward to taking full advantage of the week off. My daughter and I really needed this break (not sure who needs it more- me or her!) so we're going to make every day count. She's already planned a few day trips for us.
I hope everyone was able to have a nice day and spend time with family one way or another for the holidays!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
