It's been a busy couple of weeks here despite being laid up with a bad tooth these last couple of days. In between hot compresses and several dentist visits I was actually about to accomplish some things! I acquired, through the combined efforts of Breyer buddies, 2 of the SR models from Breyerfest. Both will be performance horses (because I'm nuts). Pictures of them to follow shortly but let's see what's come off the painting table in the meantime. Here's the first model, now listed on sales pages. He's got the sweetest face and this mold is a dream to paint (even though I'm pretty sure one hind hoof is WAY bigger than the rest of them . . .) OK, so this second thing has pretty much nothing to do with me but he's cute as a button. My friends' Arabian mare foaled on Monday. Name to be decided. He was less than 12 hours old in this picture: I also wrapped up work on the Bouncer pony and he's listed on sales pages as well. The devil must be ice skating this week because I painted not one but 2 horses in a color other than black and white! Wow! Kind of trying to build some inventory for when school starts back up again. Studio time usually takes quite a hit in the fall. Today I'm working a bit on Andrea's Mr. Spot, gelding some Cleveland Bays and priming a Clydesdale mare, too. Have a great weekend everyone!
