So, a few months ago I came across this adorable new resin pony named Joey:

It's practically a resin replica of Guinivere, my daughter's backyard Welsh/Arab pony. I've never had a resin before but I HAD to have it!
So then I was in the middle of prepping her and I found a good deal on a prepped "Phoenix" resin on eBay. I bid, not thinking I'll actually win because it's such a good deal. I won it!
Then, less than a week later, my decade-long quest to acquire a Chris Nandell resin "Cruise Control" was completed (or close enough) when I acquired a "Flint" stock horse resin. I've wanted for years to have a portrait model done of my own QH who's registered name is Cruise Control.
I was both awestruck and intimidated when they all began arriving!
Phoenix got a lightly dappled bay paint job and then a super flashy appaloosa blanket (you KNEW that was coming, right?!) She'll be done and listing on MH$P by the end of next week . . . or you can e-mail me for pictures. As much as I'd love to keep and show her, I'd also love to go on vacation this year so, alas, she goes.
Joey has been prepped and primed and I'm just deciding if I'm capable of replicating Guinivere or if I need to ask another artist who, perhaps, has a more objective eye.
Along the way, I came across an Arcane and, since I liked Phoenix so much, I decided to go for it! She's halfway prepped and destined to become an appaloosa, Tiger Horse, maybe. Just gathering reference photos for her.
As for that Flint, he's sitting up high on my chest of drawers until some point in time where I can either A: afford to have him sent out for painting B:trust myself to replicate Cruise's chestnut or C: find a way to trade for his paintwork
Either way, I'm so thrilled to have him even if he is just sitting bare for now!
So, in less than a month, I went from never having a resin to owning 4 ... Whoa!
