This morning out parade got rained out so we were rained in. The hen turkey that always comes around in the spring spent over an hour on the garden fence.. . and another lounging in the freshly spread straw covering the whole backyard. Cruise and Guin took to watching grass grow . . . or at least we're all hoping the grass is growing underneath that straw since we're getting all this rain. I was able to finish off the braided Idocus model that's been waiting for color for weeks. He's actually sunburnt black but these indoor pics don't capture any of the brown tones or pastel shading. I used an old reference pic I got from a client years ago to work on his pattern and I think it suits him well! He's flashy but respectable, I think. His name, so far, is Aves and he's been listed on sales pages along with a new English bridle I just got and probably won't be using (because me and fancy little tongue buckles are NOT a good combination!) We have off tomorrow and the farrier's coming to work on Cruise's awful feet. Fingers crossed he can improve the old guy's situation! After that, I'm making a run to the post office. If there's anything you want that I could mail out tomorrow just shoot me an e-mail!
