I am still working on "The Big Mandala" in the evenings, away from people, because it's gotten to the point where I'm counting stitches constantly and having to think and pay attention to my work- something I now used to having to do with crocheting. Here it is- at about 4 and a half feet across right now on round 59 (I think):
To give my arms a break from crocheting, I decided to do something with my model horse show ribbons. I hot glued them to an old canvas and voila!
I was happy with the way it turned out and I was even more happy to not have a baggie of ribbons in my closet anymore! I hung it over my studio desk so now their fun colors can be appreciated and admired! The last thing I was able to fit in before turning my attention back to my pandemic herd of plastic ponies was a give for a buddy of mine who's got a birthday coming up at the end of the month. It's the hex sign that means "Safe Travels." At least I hope to hell it does- lest I be like one of those millennials who got a tattoo of some cool looking Chinese symbol that was supposed to mean something inspirational and turned out representing food! |
Was it annoying? Yes.
It it totally worth it to look back at now? Absolutely!
Now, off to make this a "Wintersong Wednesday!" Someone's waiting to get sculpted flowers in his hair . . . much like I've been waiting to receive my online order of good primer!
Happy Wednesday Everyone- hang in there!
