We got the call last night that school would be closed today so we knew there was a day of fun ahead of us! The horses were not phased at all by the 6 inches that fell before daybreak. Their routine of standing at the gate and staring at the house was unchanged despite the wind driven flakes . . . Finally nestled in the barn, you can see the turtle shell of snow Guin built up on her back. Cruise has another layer of fluff on his blanket, too! Now that they've been fed inside I'll only see Cruise's head sticking out the front of the stall doors. On to the studio! It's a painting day now that the porches are shoveled, the critters all fed and the trucks cleaned off. It's going to look like reverse snow in here today as I work on a few leopard appaloosas!
