Well, it's started . . . the weather. It started at exactly 9:59 (Verizon time) while I was out by the horses and it did everything from rain to sleet to snow to freezing rain. A lovely mixed bag that my horse decided to spend the majority of the day standing out in! Unlike Guinivere who took a walk outside, rolled in front of the barn and then promptly returned to the warmth and comfort of the bedded stalls. The stalls are bedded because I got a great deal on a bunch of hay (85 bales) and the awesome guy decided the throw in the bedding, too (35 bags at last count). If you're ever wondering how many bags of bedding can fit into the fully loaded tack room of an '06 Sundowner slant load . . . the answer is 27! I had 3 in the bed of my truck and an addition 5 in the back seat with the kid! The girls were VERY happy with the new acquisitions. As a matter of fact, Nighthawk decided she didn't want to eat out of the hay bags and would prefer to have her breakfast leaning over the tack room door. That is probably because she had no problem at all reaching since there's SO much hay in there right now.
