Anyway, on account of my new REALLY BIG HORSE, we've started re fencing the turnout. Last Saturday we were supposed to be able to auger out the post hole and set the posts- that didn't happen. We got 4 holes dug before a hydraulic line got pinched and blew. We did set the 4 posts and hung a new gate between 2 of them, split the stalls and got to spend some quality time with the horses.
So, we'll try again on that fence next weekend!
I just found this e-mail waiting for me in my inbox when I fired up the old desktop this afternoon:
In stable news, everyone is getting along better but still not perfectly well. It hasn't even been a month so we're just giving it time. We seem to be able to take Eugene off the property without Guinivere losing her mind. He and I will be at Pequannock Feed in W. Milford this Sunday posing for pictures with Santa and a sleigh! He wasn't super thrilled when we did a mock set up on Thursday but we're just going to let him hang out with hay in front of him so I think he'll be fine!
