I haven't gotten the chance to finish any more models in the last few weeks on account of I have to work for a living but a few seem to be selling tonight which will free up some space for more CM's in the coming weeks. I've still got that primed Clydesdale mare waiting for inspiration- got any?
Besides whipping up a TON of crocheted flowers, I got it in my head that I wanted a fancy browband for Casey. After watching a 15 minute video online I decided I was qualified to make my own. I bought some blanks from a tack store that's selling off stock on eBay (e-mail me if you want the user name- REALLY good deals!) Saturday night I ran to JoAnn's and grabbed some beads. By Sunday night I had this:
Today while I sat at karate with the kid, I stitched the bottom one together. These are easy enough to travel with so I just chuck the beads, browband, scissors, pliers and a needle in my canvas bag and hit the road.
The picture didn't look this dark when I took it but the big beads are clear and the smaller ones are gold toned with rainbow beads encircling them. Subtle but pretty! Not sure when I'm going to use this one!
I'm currently resisting temptation to buy another 5 empty channel browbands . . . hold me back!
